Woody Allen's romantic comedy tells the story of college sweethearts, Gatsby and Ashleigh, whose plans for a romantic weekend together in New York City are dashed as quickly as the sunlight turns into showers. When Ashleigh gets an assignment from the school paper to interview celebrated film director Roland Pollard in Manhattan, Gatsby seizes the opportunity to show Arizona-bred Ashleigh his favorite haunts in his home city.

Ever wonder why ... submitted by GJBarnett2 on August 22, 2021, 4:03pm ... you've never heard of this movie? Two reasons. First, it was written and directed by the cancelled non-person whose initials are WA. Therefore was never released widely in the US. (And it would have served it right if it had been.) Actually a "blessing in disguise because ... Second, it is unwatchable. Simply unbearable. Not a sympathetic character in the entire film, or at least as much of it as I could struggle through in several tries. Finally realized, notwithstanding its pedigree that I would rather pull out my toenails with pliers than waste any more of my life waiting for it to get any better.
