Strange submitted by mtebo on June 23, 2022, 9:42am I keep trying to like Nina LaCour's books, but I think I have to accept that they're just not for me. This one was pretty boring and just overall a strange premise.

Not La Cour's best, but still good submitted by ellec on July 13, 2022, 5:48pm I didn't love this novel -- I thought the premise was good, but it just was not very compelling. That being said, I would recommend it to any fan of La Cour

A little too out there submitted by asangtani on July 3, 2023, 7:49am In this book, the main character goes to live on a cult-like farm that's meant for people with no families. On the farm, she (a recent high school graduate herself with an obviously traumatic past) is tasked with the instruction of a nine-year-old boy that also has trauma, despite the fact that she has no experience with either trauma care or teaching children. And my least favorite part of this book are definitely the ghosts, which are kind of real, kind of metaphor.
