10th anniversary note / from Brené -- Preface -- Introduction: Wholehearted living -- Courage, compassion, and connection: the gifts of imperfection -- Exploring the power of love, belonging, and being enough -- The things that get in the way -- Final thoughts.
Brown explores the psychology of releasing our definitions of an 'imperfect' life and embracing living authentically. In a world where insults, criticisms, and fears are spread too generously alongside messages of unrealistic beauty, attainment, and expectation, she provides ten 'guideposts' that can help anyone establish a practice for a life of honest beauty-- a perfectly imperfect life.

Quick helpful read submitted by emileeione on June 26, 2021, 1:02pm Brene Brown blends her research with personal stories and tips for self care and self acceptance.
Much shorter than her other books, but still packed submitted by asangtani on July 11, 2023, 2:22pm I absolutely love Brene Brown's books in general as they deal with the more painful emotions. A total personal bias against not having enough data (when N=1 and the methodology for the data collection and reporting is not disclosed, it's hard to give the book 5 stars).
