Positive read submitted by momreset on July 28, 2021, 12:30am If you need to be uplifted read this book. Matthew McConaughey gives some positive views on life. It’s a feel good read.

Subtle product references submitted by admaclean on August 14, 2021, 10:39am McConaughey throws in some subtle product references, and if one takes the time to research, will know he's pure full of it. There were some interesting parts of the book, but the schilling makes this all inauthentic.

Surprisingly good! submitted by clk.9123 on August 21, 2022, 4:53pm This book surprised me, I listened to the audio and it was quite enjoyable to listen to Matthew's narration. It made the book a great experience, and I was impressed with his writing and storytelling - I was expecting this to be more along the lines of a lot of celebrity memoirs (as in, kind of overrated and boring) but this was completely different! Not for everyone, but if you are even a casual fan or mildly curious, I recommend.

Not Worth the Hype submitted by JJM.Deucher on June 28, 2023, 7:19am McConaughey's book had some intriguing stories that whether true or not were good for a laugh or heat warming and I'd say he had more writing chops than many a celebrity memoirist, but on the whole the book was average at best and a bit over the top.
