Suitably Moody submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2021, 12:41pm This album has a moody character to it that suits Alanis Morissette’s vocal style perfectly. The lyrics are introspective and fit the album’s darker character without lurching too far into outright cynicism, working well and standing out against the album’s slower tempos. This isn’t highly inventive on its surface or even all that different from some of Morissette’s previous work, but it fits right in line with her core sound and her unique style. It’s another solid album from a reliably outstanding artist.
