The illustrations weren't great: most of the eyes appear to be the same drawing, copied and pasted and sometimes resized from page to page. I would have liked individually drawn eyes on each page with more expressiveness. The resolution of the "story" was utterly predictable. While it was good for some laughs on the first read, my kids (4, 6) weren't interested in a repeat.
