927 pages I could have lived without reading. :( submitted by bookher on July 25, 2021, 7:41pm I loved the 4 previous books in this series but this one, for me, was a huge disappointment. So much in here could have been edited out. I was just board through most of it but wanted to get to the end. Not going to spoil anything for Strike and Robin fans out there but if you stick with it 919 pages, you will be mildly happy. I'm curious to hear what others think about this book.
Very disappointing submitted by mandevil on July 29, 2021, 2:26pm Very boring! I quit after 350+ pages. I loved the first 4 in this series, but this one is really crap. Don’t waste your time
We’ll written submitted by lballard on June 10, 2022, 3:37pm This is in my top ten favorite mystery series. This book isn’t quite as good as the others in the series. However, it is still much better than most out there.
Compulsively readable submitted by suttonp on July 9, 2022, 12:07pm I don't know how J. K. Rowling does it. Even when I don't like the story, I want to keep reading and find out what's next. The book is true to form, exploring the dark side of human nature and keeping you in suspense until the end.
