Danika Brown knows what she wants: professional success, academic renown, and an occasional roll in the hay to relieve all that career-driven tension. But romance? Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. Romantic partners, whatever their gender, are a distraction at best and a drain at worst. So Dani asks the universe for the perfect friend-with-benefits--someone who knows the score and knows their way around the bedroom. When big, brooding security guard Zafir Ansari rescues Dani from a workplace fire drill gone wrong, it's an obvious sign: PhD student Dani and former rugby player Zaf are destined to sleep together. But before she can explain that fact to him, a video of the heroic rescue goes viral. Suddenly, half the internet is shipping #DrRugbae--and Zaf is begging Dani to play along. Turns out his sports charity for kids could really use the publicity. Lying to help children? Who on earth would refuse?

Great book submitted by Nancianna Girbach on September 13, 2020, 6:35pm Sassy, swift, sensible and sweet romance plus laugh out loud dialogue makes this book a joy to read.
Fun Read submitted by laursanc6 on June 24, 2021, 4:49pm So I did not like this as much as Chloe Brown and that was really just because I didn't vibe or connect with Dani. I'm not a fan of characters with commitment issues and it just pains me to watch one character be so in love and the other just play it off. I just got so frustrated with Dani pushing away Zaf and I just couldn't with her. However, I loved Zaf though. It is really nice to read about a romantic man who doesn't care about what others think about his romantic side. Also, he reads romance books!!! Plus he plays rugby and encourages boys that it's okay to have feelings. We love him. Overall, this romance was really good. The banter was top notch in typical Talia Hibbert fashion.
A sweet breezy read submitted by foilista on June 27, 2023, 10:49am Talia Hibbert writes smart, sexy, and emotionally astute romance novels - she's one of the best! Zaf is a great romantic lead and I really liked Hibbert's depiction of his anxiety and PTSD. I found Dani's workaholism and commitment issues to be a little frustrating -- it's not my favorite source of conflict -- but overall I was definitely swept away in this romance.
