Scientific and Emotional submitted by lola.b on June 27, 2021, 8:29pm An excellent book that adapts current human-canine science so that it's accessible for middle grade readers. Safina weaves interesting research and scientific insight with an emotional narrative that prompts us to reexamine our relationship with animals and nature. The insight into the current scientific research is accurate and solid but Safina adds enough personal and emotional touches that you're emotionally invested in the story being told. A great read for anyone interested in animal behavior and the lives of canines.
