COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Worth a watch submitted by Will O on August 26, 2020, 10:10am Maybe even more relevant now than when it came out last year.
Really good performances from Daniel Kaluuya and especially Jodie Turner-Smith who started out unlikable and cold but showed the depth and layers beneath the surface of her character as the movie went on.
The dialogue could be a little stage-y especially at the beginning and I wasn't a huge fan of the way it was shot/edited but the overall story and how it was told made up for the shortcomings in dialogue and the movie itself is an effective reminder in an only slightly fictional telling of what has happened and continues to happen to the black community.
