Not as amazing as the originals submitted by shankart on July 18, 2020, 10:55am Maybe its because it's 40years later, but Wayside school has lost some of the wackiness from before. I read the first three to my daughter and she looooved how silly they are. It's nice to revisit the characters (and see that the new illustrations look more multicultural) and overall it's still an enjoyable book.
:) submitted by qmomo on May 10, 2023, 3:40pm doesn't feel at all like so much time has passed between this new sequel and the original series, amazing how he was able to step right back into the humor and feeling of the previous books. it was a delight to visit wayside school again.
