Even better than the 2nd edition submitted by pjefferies on June 10, 2023, 11:20pm I have the 2nd edition and borrowed this (3rd edition) to see what new information there is. It was well worth the read-though. I'm a big fan of square-foot gardening and Mel Bartholomew. There is a reason that this is one of the most popular gardening book ever. The only reason not to borrow this book if you're going to have a home garden is if you're going to buy it to always have it to reference.

Good overview and instructions submitted by denisekim on July 26, 2023, 11:17pm I bought an elevated planter on wheels, and this book gave me guidelines and step by step instructions on how to fill the planter with medium, which plants to place together, and how to place them relative to each other and the sun. It was very helpful and fun to read
