A Muddled Criticism of "White Feminism" . submitted by sVfGI7Glt2pz7GZgVB90 on July 29, 2020, 8:24pm This book dissects "white feminism"---an intersection of racialist and gender attitudes--- and offers productive solutions and an optimistic attitude. But here's the problem: do we really organize around feminism just for racial minorities? Why should some social initiatives come at the expense of other women--the white women, in this case? Have feminists ever faught only for equality of a subset of their constituency?
Should have bought the book submitted by Xris on January 2, 2022, 11:46pm The book was so meaty, and full of good stuff, that it took me a really long time to get through the book. I went past the due date, because I was noting the good parts in a Google doc. Would have been easier to buy the book and make the notes right in it. Now I just need to fight for all the stuff in the book as best I can. I don't want to be like the suffragettes, fighting just for white women's rights.
Eye opening and such an amazing read

I loved this book. As a social work and public health student I think this is a must read.
I learned so much about the world!
