"Snap's town had a witch. At least, that's how the rumor goes. But in reality, Jacks is just a crocks-wearing, internet-savvy old lady who sells roadkill skeletons online--after doing a little ritual to put their spirits to rest. It's creepy, sure, but Snap thinks it's kind of cool, too. They make a deal: Jacks will teach Snap how to take care of the baby opossums that Snap rescued, and Snap will help Jacks with her work. But as Snap starts to get to know Jacks, she realizes that Jacks may in fact have real magic--and a connection with Snap's family's past."--Provided by publisher.

awesome book submitted by claraerosenfeld on October 30, 2020, 8:24pm really great book with positive role models, humor, and heart. Definitely read this!!
Outstanding! submitted by Xris on December 23, 2021, 12:08am I like that Kat named the girl characters in the family with flower names. And I like how the two storylines sync up together. Awesome that there are gay and trans characters too! The explanations at the end, of the process Kat goes through when drawing and writing the story, are wonderful! I always like the weird people/characters!! <3 I hope Kat makes more in this world.
Amazing! submitted by Mairead Seyfarth on June 18, 2022, 11:35am Stellar artwork! The characters are grounded and you will find yourself empathizing with them. Great representation.
So good submitted by katiekipp on July 7, 2022, 9:36pm I really liked reading this book!
Such a great read! submitted by tinafoxberry on August 3, 2022, 7:16pm This was our favorite summer find so far. The story is compelling and keeps you guessing. The characters are fun and relatable. Wonderful representation of queer kids and the nuanced journey they are on in understanding themselves and communicating to others. Illustrations are fantastic. And it’s not common to find a book with accurate skeleton articulation. What more could you want!
Really good! submitted by quynhssong on August 28, 2022, 2:25pm I didn't get this book from the library, but from Vault of Midnight. It was recommended to me by the an employee, and I have to say it's SOOOOO GOOODDDD!!!
