Lair submitted by Anthany on July 10, 2020, 8:43am The good lair

Ian McKellen is uncanny as the smooth antagonist submitted by yufamily on August 15, 2020, 10:49am Loved how the protagonist waited years and plotted to get her sweet revenge.

Class Act submitted by mowjac on August 19, 2020, 3:39pm It's a pleasure to watch two such pros as Dame Helen Mirren and Sir Ian McKellen play cat and mouse. Smooth, thrilling, with great performances.

Sexual violence warning submitted by ksutherla2 on September 6, 2020, 8:15am Great movie. Viewers should know there is a scene involving sexual violence.

A Few Surprises Up Its Sleeve submitted by Meginator on June 23, 2021, 5:39pm Even if you think you’ve figured out what’s going on in this film based on the description on the back of the box, it’s still going to surprise you. Alternately humorous and deadly serious, the film follows an old hand con artist attempting to lure in a woman via a straightforward dating scam, though a shocking twist significantly changes the stakes. Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren deliver outstanding and nuanced performances that perfectly encapsulate the various layers of deception at play, and their chemistry makes the film an absolute joy to watch despite its darker elements. I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys thrillers, and a lot of viewers who don’t usually go for the genre will find this to be an engaging, fascinating, and surprising film.

Watched it a second time submitted by DBogie on July 17, 2021, 12:16pm The second time was as fascinating as the first time. And my appreciation for the acting made me appreciate it their talents.
