Detailed and interesting! submitted by sbtaylor on August 17, 2020, 10:53am Maren is from a small northern town. Ursa is married to a witch-burner husband who has been sent to that town to find and seek out witches. There's some serious detail put into the writing - the clothes, scenery, food, etc. are all meticulously researched. I really liked the writing and plot, but I did not find myself sympathetic to the two main characters. Maren and Ursa were written very believably. Interesting concept, well executed!

Will read it tomorrow. SBT, why is it important that I like the main characters? a good book can be enjoyed always. submitted by Tassos on April 7, 2021, 9:13pm I made good progress in a couple hours, I am close to p 200. The first 40 pages were really boring, and I speedread them, until I came to some interesting material, relevant to the topic of the book. From 40 to 200 it was far more interesting. I should finish it tomorrow.
