COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Mysterious.. submitted by mamtavj on August 13, 2020, 7:40am Horror depicted in shades of grey complimented with great performance by Willem and Robert make this film a must watch..

Do not get the appeal submitted by Will O on August 26, 2020, 9:16am Not for me.
There were a few funny moments and I appreciated the humor but it was just not interesting to me at all and I didn't care about either character so it was hard for me to get on board with this movie and I felt like jumping ship several times.
It really dragged like there was an anchor pulling the runtime ever slower and it felt much longer than it was.
Just not into it at all and don't get the love for it since I don't ever see myself wanting to watch this again.

Took me a long time to decide about this film and this director submitted by jibkidder on June 28, 2022, 8:02am I think it is hard to go too wrong with Dafoe and Pattinson together in an unusual context, but after watching the Northman and listening to slash reading a good amount of interviews with this director I think that he is a hack and his films are shallow, which may be the norm for these sort of hit films that come from A24. I get the impression that he knows he's not that good at the art form, from the way he talks nervously about himself. I believe he relies on a total focus on historical accuracy simply because he is not able to generate art from actual creativity. Nevertheless, I do think there are things to enjoy about this film .
