COMMUNITY REVIEWS

ok submitted by yufamily on June 16, 2020, 3:34pm The plot wasn't that exciting.

Realistic but Depressing submitted by krogers on July 23, 2021, 7:52pm Well done concept, and cinematically beautiful, but it was so depressing that it was not really entertaining - I just wanted it to be over, like watching a car wreck in slow motion. It becomes clear early on that it will just not end well.

Ticket to Ride submitted by tarascon on May 26, 2023, 11:56am I assume that the passengers are able to pay for their berth even as the majority of humanity must stew in its own juices back home.. But Mars is not and will never be the escape pod for the galactic one percenters. NIMBY indeed. Elon Musk would make better use of his vast wealth by helping out here on Earth… maybe by clearing up the orbiting debris instead of trying to get himself offworld.
I wonder if he ever saw “Gravity?”

Polemics aside, the movie was well done and the core premise bears an important message—one which (with no slight intended to anyone,) ought to be depressing for us all.
