An underrated historical narrative submitted by m steve on July 25, 2011, 1:55pm When people think of David McCullough, books about Harry Truman or John Adams are often the subject matter. McCulloogh's book on the tragedy at Johnstown is compelling history. The author's description of this horrific event is excellent in that it tells of the individual perspectives of the victims. This is a book that you will not want to put it down.
