LSD submitted by jibkidder on August 15, 2022, 8:16pm Worth a read from anyone interested in thinking deeply about psychedelics and their transformative potential, to be taken with a grain of salt. History has witnessed the failure of the 1960s LSD promise, where we have the CIA's ACME level cartoon shenanigans as the counter-culture's counter, then, perhaps, the meeting of the two in the Manson Murders (see the book "Chaos"), its displacement as a street drug by the much more lucrative MDMA (long before the dark web turned all drugs into Fentanyl) and then, eventually, its coopting by tech elites as a self-improvement elixir. Bache, however, takes the drug seriously as a religious instrument, takes very high doses in a very controlled manner and writes about it for the rest of us.
