Sad and Reflective submitted by cldaniels on June 19, 2020, 2:25pm Edward, an adolescent and sole survivor of a plane crash, is in constant refection of who he is in a new envrionment without his family. He struggles to form relationships, as other people, those that know him and those that don't. try to connect with him.

Quiet and thoughtful submitted by flemingj on July 7, 2021, 7:28pm What a difficult life Edward now has to lead through his grief. His family (what's left of it) tries to help, but they are grieving too.

Dear Edward submitted by SBNB on June 10, 2022, 7:07pm I read this book in a day a couple months ago, and I've thought of it many times since. The story of the plane's and its passengers' last hours and the story of Edward's life after the crash are told side-by-side. It's interesting and sad and captivating. I enjoyed it.

Dear Edward submitted by amym on June 21, 2023, 9:42am This book is a fast read. It's wrenching, reading about the passenger's last hours and their hopes for the future which will never be. It shows how grief doesn't move on a timeline - grief will take as long as it takes.

A definite page-turner submitted by 21621031390949 on July 27, 2023, 2:11am It’s been quite a while since I stayed up till 2:00am to finish a book, but that’s what happened with this one. The story, writing, and characters are very compelling, and the pacing pulls the reader along. There were a few things that didn’t ring true - the huge public focus on Edward, for example - but overall, the portrayal of grief and complexity of relationships seemed very real. I did find the school principal a distraction. I kept picturing him as the goofy principal on “Glee,” which was amusing, but oddly placed in this more serious book.
