Nova Huang knows more about magic than your average teen witch. Cute, but has plot holes submitted by callmeavni on July 19, 2021, 8:38am Mooncakes follows the story of Nova Luang and Tan Lam as they fight the forces of evil in their town. The illustrations are vibrant and jump off of the pages, and the actual story is creative. I especially loved the representation of a f+nb romance, as well as Asian main characters. I just felt that the romance moves a bit too quickly to be realistic. I felt like the character arcs of all the characters weren't properly set up as well, so I as a reader didn't feel nearly as connected to characters. Nevertheless, a cute and adorable read.

Great and cute graphic novel submitted by Fun reading101 on August 11, 2022, 8:43pm I loved the artwork, which was the main reason I picked this book up. Once I started reading it, not only did I love the art but the story too. The romance is sweet.
