Pop Rock + Country submitted by Meginator on August 17, 2020, 11:29pm These songs sound exactly like what you’d expect from a contemporary version of Hootie & the Blowfish, blending their signature pop rock with country flourishes that pay tribute to Darius Rucker’s more recent solo career. The album lacks an instantly recognizable jam, but it rests nicely and naturally between country, folk, and rock. It’s great to see the band back together, making excellent music that is feels true to their spirit yet also feels modern and fresh.
