The Animals of America's National Parks submitted by Meginator on June 12, 2020, 1:17pm Content Warning: These documentaries include scenes of violence between animals, including hunting and killing.

These documentaries focus on the wildlife found in the featured national parks, from Alaska to the Everglades. Each follows the environment over the course of a year, charting the changes in local flora and fauna with an emphasis on how different animals have adapted to their environments. The narration occasionally strains too hard for an awkward joke, but that same awkwardness has a humor all its own that provides some levity amongst the occasionally dry subject matter. The photography is brilliant, capturing the action close-up and providing glimpses of rare animals or occurrences; the parks’ majestic natural beauty is always front and center, and the lush cinematography does them justice. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in learning more about ecosystems throughout the US; just be wary if you are a sensitive soul, because the films do show *all* phases of the circle of life.
