Imitating the Inimitable submitted by Meginator on June 21, 2020, 3:08pm Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” is inimitable, but this tribute album does a pretty good job of taking the source material and working it into a slightly edgier, more modern form while maintaining its basic integrity. The album is remarkably consistent despite relying on a rotating roster of musicians in various configurations, with each track adapted slightly to fit a particular mood. The final few tracks are remixes of these new versions of “Another Brick in the Wall” (parts 1 & 2) and “Comfortably Numb”, adding yet another spin on a classic album. Tribute albums are tricky propositions, but this one gets it right.
