Insightful submitted by Xris on August 4, 2022, 2:33pm I think I’m going to buy a copy or two of this book and give them as wedding gifts to new couples. I wish I had known these things when I was raising my kids, so I’ll help the next generation know about it instead.

Mixed feelings submitted by foilista on June 30, 2023, 12:58pm I read this cover-to-cover on a ferry ride. I like the arguments that domestic work is work and that everyone's time should be valued equally, although those arguments aren't new. The heteronormativity, husband-bashing, and corporate speak that run throughout this book really put me off it. I think there's a way to make domestic work explicit and valued without running into those tropes.
