Adventure in a well-constructed world submitted by Princess Cimorene on July 19, 2020, 10:19pm I saw the author come talk about this book at the library, which inspired me to read it. I can see the Alexandre Dumas inspiration in it, and, as usual, Garth Nix does a great job sweeping the reader into the action throughout the story. The way the magic functions in this world is both interesting and unique, and the characters are complex and quickly come to life.
