I think it's a mixed bag, and am somewhat grateful that there is a distributor for left field movies at a point where cinema appears to be dying an early death. But I do truly dislike the directors Ari Aster and Robert Eggers. I think they are not smart and their respective works are shallow, and this one is the real low point among the two of them. I lump them together because I think of them both as awkward, nervous & fraudulent white male auteurs.
