"Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past, just one step ahead of the doubts and insecurities that defined her childhood. Throughout her rise to fame and during some of the most pivotal moments of her life, Demi battled addiction, body image issues, and childhood trauma that would follow her for yearsall while juggling a skyrocketing career and at times negative public perception. As her success grew, Demi found herself questioning if she belonged in Hollywood, if she was a good mother, a good actressand, always, if she was simply good enough."-- Provided by publisher.

Interesting biography submitted by amk08 on August 2, 2020, 11:55am Easy and enjoyable read. Learned a few things about her life that I didn’t know.
Easy does it submitted by Linda Rama on August 29, 2020, 4:02pm Demi's memoir is another picture of who gets the easy life. It is the typical person who truly has to suffer through trauma, addiction, homelessness and abandonment NOT the person who gets celebrity status because of looks and a good voice. There was actually a statement that she says she would not have called herself "spoiled" yet a previous reflection tells about getting to live in the home of a millionaire and drive his Jaguar as he was away. The book overall was an easy read.
