Vocal Talent Carries the Day submitted by Meginator on June 25, 2020, 4:28pm This album starts off with an unexpected bang in the delightful “Oh Santa!” but soon settles into more traditional (and sentimental) holiday fare. Carey’s voice, and her massive vocal range, is front and center as the instrumental arrangements mostly fade into the background. Though I expected something more inventive after the bombshell opener, Carey’s talent successfully carries what is, at its core, a fairly straightforward holiday album.
