"When a young girl is asked where she's from--where she's really from--she's no longer as she was. She decides to turn to her dear abuelo for some help with this ever-persistent question. But he doesn't quite give her the answer she expects."--Page [2] of cover.

An adventurous book submitted by janelizlynch on July 24, 2020, 8:42am My name is Zahra. I am six. And I am reviewing 'Where Are You From?' I thought this was a good book because it was about a little girl who is different from everybody. When she asked her Abuelo, "where am I from?" he told her about how she was from many places, how she was special, and how she was really from everyone in her family's heart. This is a beautiful, funny, and nice book.
Understanding & Loving Your Heritage submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2021, 12:35pm This charming picture book encourages readers, particularly people of color, to think more deeply about the titular question and expand their understanding of themselves and their heritage. The illustrations are lovely, emphasizing colorful landscapes as the characters examine their shared history. This book has a great message for all readers, particularly those who have been made to feel like “the other”.
