Circus owner Max Medici enlists former star Holt Farrier and his children to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. Disappointing Remake submitted by generic username on August 19, 2019, 1:42pm The somewhat live-action remake of "Dumbo" didn't work for me. It also didn't work for the ticket buying public. The film lost money in theatrical release though it may eventually cover via home viewing. The animation lacks the subtlety of Disney classics. The animation acting is poor, and even the set design looks to be a hurried paste job. The two good performances in the film are from Eva Green and Danny DeVito. Long ago Tim Burton was an innovative, creative director but now he just churns out product for Disney,.

Dumbo 2019 submitted by lstorc on August 20, 2019, 10:31pm Dumbo 2019 should never have been made. This is failed adaptation of a beautiful film. The CGI was underwhelming, as was the plot, pacing, and direction. The acting was tolerable.
