Divisive art film submitted by jibkidder on June 28, 2022, 8:30am This is one of my least favorite movies ever, just absolutely punishingly boring, and I like slow cinema. This is autobiographical fiction or semiautobiographical fiction about the film maker growing up as a wealthy film student with a junkie boyfriend. It's fairly difficult to hear the boring mumbling that these character converse with, but being able to hear it changes almost nothing about this awful, awful film. I feel guilty to simply complain that a critic celebrated art film is just no fun at all, because of how, especially on this website, common and ultimately unhelpful doing such a thing is. But I cannot find a single thing to praise about this movie and it is not because it confused me.
