Great Illustrations, Some Rhythmic Hiccups submitted by Meginator on August 31, 2019, 10:40am This book tells a simple story about the circular nature of kindness, as played out by a group of robots on a rocky alien world. The illustrations are wonderful, with the colorful robots popping out against drab backgrounds, and a few key words are stylized well for dramatic read-aloud possibilities. The simple story and wonderful character design make it an excellent book for beginning readers (or listeners), but the text does include a few baffling rhythmic hiccups that don’t make sense even upon further inspection. The book is still worth checking out, but its linguistic missteps make it a little more difficult to read than it should be.
