Alex Chilton, lead singer for the Boxtops and Big Star, made these recordings of jazz standards in the 1990s. Many he heard in the 1950s growing up in a house full of music on a street in Memphis, Tennessee. Included are many rare and previously unreleased songs from the Great American Songbook such as Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying; Time After Time; and My Baby Just Cares For Me.
