Good British Detective series submitted by bookher on June 16, 2019, 1:53pm I enjoyed this detective series even if it was a bit dated. I was surprised to see that it orignally aired from 2001-2008 since the technology, clothes and dialogue seemed to be from the late 80s. I found Linnley's condescending, if not patronizing, nature toward Havis extremely annoying but it did remind me that, even though we have a ways to go, women do receive more professional respect and equality in the work place now than we did 20 yrs ago. You wouldn't see a male/female work relationship portrayed this way in a current tv drama.
