Tempura and gouach on paper. Michigan artist. Karin L. Bodycombe was an influential artist who lived and worked in Michigan. Bodycombe graduated from the University of Michigan School of Art & Design in 1949, and then went on to study Art Education at Wayne State University in 1952. Bodycome used watercolor, gouache, pen, acrylics, and oil paints as her primary mediums. Bodycombe described her work by saying, "I paint landscape compositions reducing them to the basic areas or forms of the subject resembling the environment only through the tiles. Brush strokes express my feelings."
