Too sad for me, sick relationships. submitted by jgetty on September 27, 2021, 8:58am The First Book I read from the Reese Witherspoon Book Club. It started off a good mystery, but soon after as the book continued, it really became so very sad and dysfunctional. The people were so self-destructing and cruel to each other. They all lived in a beautiful coastal location in a fun tourist place, but I was dismayed at such a gloomy sad behind-the-scenes life there. In the conclusion of the book, I could hardly read it, because of the disrespect of human life, cruelness to each other, such sad unhealthy relationships, death and destruction, so tragic, and totally senseless killing and violence. I don't recommend this book, I got nothing out of it except sadness and loss.
