Wonderful! submitted by fairytale on July 6, 2019, 8:31pm I loved reading this baking book as the style of writing is casual and has some occasional humor to it and the illustrations are beautiful! Looking forward to making the lemon cake recipe.

Classic recipes submitted by keebs23 on June 20, 2022, 12:38pm Sourced from Maida Heatter's long career, some of the bakes are retro enough to inspire nostalgia. Anecdotes accompany each entry, but I'd really have liked a few pictures.

You'll want to have finely-ground bread crumbs on hand for lining cake pans; pretty much every recipe calls for them. I prefer photo-heavy cookbooks but still really enjoyed this!
