Love this - but highly improbable submitted by smgop on July 30, 2020, 9:39pm I highly doubt any ex-husband would give his ex-wife a summer off to herself sans child.

Good airplane book submitted by elkwiatkowski on July 16, 2021, 9:41pm It was a good enough light read. Don't expect to be pulled in by the cliche yet unbelievable circumstances of the plot.

Fun and Heartwarming submitted by pamhockey25 on June 14, 2022, 12:38pm Amy Byler has had a rough few years...and now her not-ex husband is back from overseas and wants to spend time with their kids, and the kids want some time with him, too. After some negotiations, Amy's adventures begin.

Amy is a school librarian, so has summers off. She attends a library convention in NYC and stays with her fashion magazine editor friend from college. Her friend convinces her to help her out with the magazine by letting her profile Amy's "#Momspringa" (like an Amish Rumspringa)--complete with makeover, a series of dates, and a spunky editorial assistant sidekick.

The characters are diverse, Amy has a healthy relationship with her teenage daughter. Amy is funny, and I enjoyed the witty dialog.

The book is told from Amy's POV and also the POV of her 15-year-old daughter, Cori. Cori's story is told through journal entries. All-in-all Amy is a character I liked and rooted for. I recommend this book.
