A delight! submitted by eileenw on August 25, 2022, 3:28pm I'm a long-time Andrew Bird fan, so I may be biased, but this is a lovely album that continues in the vein of his previous works. Many a historical and mythological reference lives in here. I'm a big fan of music that can play in the background while I do other things -- that music has to still be melodically intriguing, but not in your face -- this album wins on that front. The only downside: not as much whistling as previous Andrew Bird albums (note: there is still some whistling, it just tapers off on the latter tracks).
