A sweet story but... submitted by Cihendricks on August 22, 2019, 7:06pm The story, removed from political context, is cute and sweet. Michiel Huisman is good looking. But...as someone who has Armenian relatives who are descended from a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, I found this to be in incredibly poor taste. The genocide is not mentioned. The Ottoman lieutenant and his troops are treated as heroic. And put in proper historical context, what would those characters doing off camera? Killing Armenians. I was repulsed by this film.
