Engrossing...don't start reading late at night submitted by alotofaxolotl on June 23, 2019, 11:18pm I've enjoyed other thrillers , such as The Girl on the Train and Sharp Objects, so I was eager to find another captivating book that would keep me on my toes. The translation from Icelandic is into British English and feels a little wooden, but in spite of that minor obstacle, the book is a good, quick read and is bound to surprise you at the end. Just don't start late at night or you may burning midnight oil.

When reading books by Ragnar Jonasson the US publishing date does not always correspond to the original publishing date in Iceland, so to read the books in the order Ragnar Jonasson has written them, it's best to check the original publishing dates.
