Fine but not great submitted by smgop on June 11, 2022, 1:14pm This book had a good deal of potential - the interweaving stories was what drew me to pick up the book. However, it lost my attention quickly.

Great Mix of Historical Fiction and Mythology submitted by vtabor on July 12, 2023, 6:29pm I was intrigued by the premise of Lovely War but didn't know how much I would love and appreciate the story. Told through four different characters' eyes, it was an incredible perspective into the "less popular" World War (WWI). The fantasy/mythology aspect of the novel is very minimal, but makes it quite interesting. Overall, if you love historical fiction I would recommend.
