Welcome to Marwen submitted by avrogers1 on June 16, 2019, 3:52pm This was not at all what I thought it would be based on the previews. It was quite a bit more serious. The star of the movie is man who is dealing with some major PTSD caused by a traumatic event. The film showcases how he processes through things. I found it interesting and a little sad at the same time. It broke my heart a little to find out its based on a true story. It definitely hit me right in the feels!

Who is the twisted person who labels "Comedy" at AADL? submitted by kjmclark on March 31, 2024, 10:20am This is probably the ninth movie we've checked out at the library recently that was labelled "comedy" but had pretty much no comedic elements. The library needs some new categories. This would fit under "disturbed, absurdist, surreal drama". Sure, there's a category of "humor" that involves surreal elements and absurdism, but it's not what most people think of as comedy. Not many moments you'd laugh at in this movie. It really pays to look up movies at IMDB before assuming a "comedy" label at AADL means the movie is a comedy.
