"For urban dwellers in small apartments, freelancers working from home, expectant parents/parents of young children who will need more space, those who want to make large homes feel cozy, anyone wanting to downsize, anyone with roommates, fans of the tiny house movement, and millennials who are living with their parents because they can't yet afford a place of their own. Unlike other books in this genre, this is not organized by room, but by space opportunities--untapped areas in every home that can be expanded for storage. Author is known as the Small Space Architect. This book is about making your current space, regardless of its size, work better for you."--Provided by publisher.

There are some great ideas in this book submitted by sara on August 7, 2019, 1:54pm More useful for people in tiny New York apartments than houses. To modify the tiny spaces would be more expensive than normal as you would have to purchase the specially sized, specially deigned furniture and appliances. But, some ideas would be especially great for kids' rooms: bed in a wall, lofts, etc.

Innovative submitted by ssands on August 15, 2020, 9:46pm Wonderful! The author shows some really nifty innovative furniture and ideas. A lot of these are things that she has actually used in houses and apartments that she has lived in or built herself, from the South African countryside to New York City. This gave it a sense of reality and purpose. I liked seeing photos and drawings of real lived-in spaces. I would, however, check current safety guidelines for children's furniture.

Some neat ideas submitted by majean on July 22, 2022, 4:06pm A great book to draw on for inspiration.
