COMMUNITY REVIEWS

sad submitted by bookher on June 18, 2019, 2:44pm I watched this because of the awards it was nominated for but, wow, what a sad movie. The end was awful too.. I did not feel better for having watched this movie.

nope submitted by manz on July 7, 2019, 4:31pm I did not care for this film at all. Good acting, but not a strong film. Sorry, Oscars!

If Beale Street Could Talk submitted by lstorc on July 29, 2019, 5:39pm If Beale Street Could Talk it would say the actors are good, but the plot and direction are weak.

Sloooooooow submitted by wersaloma on September 12, 2019, 1:08am Good acting & very nice love story. That's about it. Haven't read the book, but it HAS to be better than the movie!
Too many flashbacks that just were not connected to present story line in anyway. Scenes shown sometimes seemed to be put there just for added time and no other reason. Story was presented in an agonizingly SLOW & disjointed fashion. My question afterwards was, "Why?" :(
"This" story has been told many times before. But, it was done much better in several previous films.
