Great Tex-Mex Music submitted by KidBlue on October 5, 2021, 1:58pm This is a great album of Tex-Mex music. It has a few of the expected and terrific rowdy dance songs. It also has a heartfelt ballad, “I Am a Mexican,” and a heartbreaking rendition of Woody Guthrie’s “Deportee.” There are other tracks, “To Acapulco by Plane,” for example, that change the tempo.
This is a band who is beautifully expanding the genre.
