Super cute wordless book about a kid who travels to the dreaming flip side submitted by Lori Tschirhart on June 24, 2020, 6:46pm And encounters all sorts of colorful fun (with a cat).
Fun read submitted by katiekipp on July 20, 2020, 8:34pm Even without words a great story is told. It is fun to look at it again and again to find things.
You Don't Need Words to Tell a Compelling Story submitted by Meginator on July 22, 2021, 9:14pm A wordless children’s picture book about interdimensional portals and alternate realities is an obviously ambitious project, but Christian Robinson makes it work with a sense of cheerful playfulness that shifts the narrative (sometimes gently, sometimes with force) between each two-page spread. The storyline might be a bit difficult for some readers to grasp, but the illustrations are uncluttered and leave room for individual interpretation and storytelling as the general narrative thread moves along. The illustrations are done in a unique combination of papercraft and digital painting, giving them a nice sense of texture that pops off of the page. This book might overwhelm some readers, but it’s a fun use of a common science fiction trope in a lighthearted context that should appeal to adventurous, open-minded, and curious readers.
