missing bass submitted by tisaallen on July 14, 2022, 4:09pm The fourth Metallica album is the first with bassist Jason Newsted after the tragic death of Cliff Burton, the most talented member of the group . In order to haze Newsted or something, the bass is mixed to be nearly inaudible giving the album a tinny guitar sound. The songs are pretty strong and ambitious with some odd time signatures and multiple parts to each one.
